East Campus is a bustling neighbourhood situated between Wesbrook Mall and Acadia Park – the neighbourhood which predominately consists of faculty housing and market housing. East Campus is near UBC Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Dental School. UBC Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Dental Schools are within 10 minutes of walking distance.


The East Campus neighbourhood is quite small, with roughly 697 residential units located in 13 buildings, but is energetic and distinctly family-oriented.


Commonly referred to by UBC students as “University Village,” East Campus offers many amenities and is close to bus stops and recreational facilities. The neighbourhood offers the convenience of a small marketplace shopping mall, featuring Granville Island Produce grocery store and a Staples store, amid coffee shops, Chinese and Japanese restaurants, a bakery, a pizza parlour, a submarine sandwich shop and a few other cafés, shops and fast-food restaurants.
